The airport is the wedding problem

Every city’s wedding transport has a defining difficulty. In Bangalore it is arrivals.

Kempegowda International sits 34 km north of the centre, guests fly in from across India and abroad, and they land across two or three days at every hour including the small ones. A Bangalore wedding generates more airport work than any other city we serve, and each run is a proper journey rather than a hop.

The practical consequence, and it is the single most useful thing on this page: a car on airport duty is out of circulation for hours. Thirty-four kilometres each way, plus waiting for a flight that is late, plus the Hebbal question in between. Trying to make the same vehicle do airport runs and venue shuttling is how wedding transport comes apart on the day.

Hebbal, again

As on every Bangalore airport run, the junction north of the city determines the journey. When Hebbal is flowing, the airport is fifty minutes. When it is not, nothing else about your planning matters.

Our drivers work in buffers rather than averages and quote departure times from the hour of travel, not the distance. On a wedding morning with a muhurtham to make, that is worth having.

How wedding days are priced

As multi-day hourly packages, not per trip. Wedding days are long, unpredictable and made of short hops with waiting between them — exactly what a package is for. Per-trip booking on a wedding day produces a fare nobody can predict and an argument nobody enjoys.

Extra hours and extra kilometres are on the rate card, and hours run garage-out to garage-in, which we state plainly because these days start early and end late.

Airport runs are separate and priced as transfers or per kilometre, depending on where the guest is going.

Venues outside the city

A growing share of Bangalore weddings happen outside it — resorts on the Mysore road, toward Nandi Hills, or out past Devanahalli near the airport.

Those change the arithmetic completely. A venue near the airport makes arrivals easy and city shuttling hard; a venue on the Mysore road does the reverse. Both are priced per kilometre rather than as a city package, and we tell you which applies when quoting rather than afterwards.

Booking ahead

Bangalore’s wedding demand concentrates hard on auspicious date clusters, and when it does, every operator in the city is committed at once. Weeks of notice, not days — and more if you need several vehicles on the same dates.

Why several Ertigas rather than one large vehicle

For guest movement, three or four cars usually beat one bus: groups travel on their own timing, the cars can be in several places at once, and nobody boards a coach in wedding clothes. The exception is a family group who genuinely must stay together.
