Bangalore airport transfers — 34 km, and Hebbal decides everything
Kempegowda International sits roughly 34 km north of the centre, out past Devanahalli. That distance makes the Bangalore transfer a real journey with a fare worth comparing — and completely unlike Coimbatore, where the airport is a ten-minute errand.
But distance is not what determines your journey here. Hebbal is.
Almost every route north funnels through the Hebbal junction and up the Bellary Road corridor toward the airport. When Hebbal is flowing, the run is straightforward. When it is not, no amount of margin further along makes it up. A driver who has done this road at every hour knows the difference between a 6am Hebbal and a 6pm Hebbal, and quotes you a departure time accordingly.
Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 are not the same place
BLR has two terminals with separate approach roads and separate kerbs. Arriving at the wrong one means a transfer between buildings with your bags — recoverable on the way home, expensive on the way out.
We take the terminal from your flight number, not from an assumption about whether your airline is domestic or international. Airlines have moved between the two, and the assumption is exactly what catches people.
Where you are starting from matters more than in any other city we serve
Bangalore is large and the airport is at one end of it. The practical consequence:
- North of the city — Hebbal, Yelahanka, Jakkur, Sahakar Nagar — you are already pointed the right way. These are the short runs.
- Central — Indiranagar, Koramangala, Malleshwaram, MG Road — a normal run with the Hebbal question attached.
- Whitefield, Electronic City, Sarjapur, Bannerghatta — you cross the entire city first. This is a substantially longer job than the map distance suggests, and for a dawn flight we keep the car with you overnight rather than send one out to find you.
The pre-dawn positioning rule
For anything departing before about 6am, the car is with you the night before. It is not an upsell, it is the only way the booking is reliable. A driver setting off at 3am from somewhere else to reach Whitefield at 4am is a plan with no slack in it.

How long will the driver wait if my flight is late?
Thirty minutes free, counted from the actual landing time rather than the scheduled one — we track the flight, so a delay does not eat your free waiting. Beyond that it is charged by the hour. On a 34 km run out of the city it is worth telling us the flight number rather than an arrival time.
Terminal 1 or Terminal 2 at Bengaluru airport?
They are separate buildings with separate approaches, and going to the wrong one costs a shuttle ride you do not have time for. Give us your flight number and the driver takes you to the right kerb. Broadly, Terminal 2 handles most international and a growing share of domestic traffic, but airlines move between them, so we confirm from the flight rather than from habit.
Why does the same airport trip take 50 minutes some days and two hours others?
Hebbal. The northern exit funnels through that junction, and when it backs up nothing else about your journey matters. Our drivers judge departure time from the Hebbal outlook at your hour of travel, not from a distance calculation.
I am in Whitefield / Electronic City. How much longer?
Considerably, and it is the whole city you are crossing rather than the last stretch. From Whitefield or Electronic City you are adding a substantial leg before you even reach the northern corridor, so we set off much earlier and, for anything before dawn, keep the car with you overnight.
Do you do 4am airport departures?
Regularly, and the car is positioned the night before. Dispatching a driver across Bangalore at 3am to collect you at 4am is how flights get missed, so we do not do it that way.
Can six of us plus luggage fit for an airport run?
Six people, yes. Six people and six large suitcases, no — with all three rows up you have cabin bags only. For four or five travellers the third row folds and the boot swallows the cases easily, which is the configuration most airport bookings actually use.
