Bangalore sits close to three state lines, and that single geographic fact shapes almost every one-way fare from here.
The city’s regular drop corridors sort neatly by paperwork:
Inside Karnataka — no permit. Mysore, Mangalore, Coorg, Hampi, Chikmagalur. These are the simplest to quote and the cheapest per kilometre travelled.
Into Tamil Nadu — permit applies. Chennai, Coimbatore, Salem, Hosur, Ooty. Chennai is the highest-volume drop we run from Bangalore, and Hosur is the shortest border crossing anywhere in our network — close enough that people are surprised a permit is involved at all.
Into Kerala — permit applies. Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur. The Bandipur stretch on the Wayanad road carries night restrictions through the reserve, which affects when a drop can realistically depart.
Into Andhra Pradesh or Telangana — permit applies. Tirupati and Hyderabad.

Hosur Road is the real journey
For anything heading east or south-east — Chennai, Salem, Coimbatore, Hosur — the highway is not the slow part. Getting out of Bangalore is.
The corridor through Electronic City and Attibele can consume an hour before you are properly on your way. Departure timing matters more here than on any other route we run, and it is the main thing our drivers advise on.
When we tell you not to book a drop
A day trip to Mysore, Nandi Hills or Ramanagara is not a one-way job. If you want the car to wait and bring you home, a round trip costs less than two drops and gives you one driver instead of two.
We will say that on the phone. Losing the second booking is cheaper than losing the customer.
Bengaluru airport drops
A steady category of its own: airport to elsewhere. Landing at BLR and going straight on to Mysore, Coorg or Ooty is common enough that we treat it as a standard one-way rather than an unusual request — and it saves a night in Bangalore you may not want.

What time should a Chennai drop leave Bangalore?
Early, and not because of the highway — because of Hosur Road. Getting out of the city through Electronic City and Attibele is the slow part; once you are past it the run is fast. Leaving before the morning build-up or after it clears makes a real difference to the total time.
Do you charge for the driver's return journey?
Not as a separate line. It is covered by the minimum-distance rule on a one-way, which is why short drops are billed at the minimum rather than the actual kilometres.
