Ertiga rental in Mysore — and the airport page that is not about Mysore
Start with the structural fact, because it changes everything on this page: Mysore has no significant commercial airport. So when someone here searches for an airport taxi, they are not looking for a twenty-minute transfer. They are looking for the 193 km run to Kempegowda International in Bangalore — three to four hours, usually starting before dawn, and priced as a long one-way drop rather than a flat city fare.
That makes this the one city where the airport booking is the most expensive thing on the page rather than the cheapest. In Coimbatore the airport is a ten kilometre errand. Here it is most of a morning.
The pre-dawn Bangalore airport run
It is our most-booked journey from Mysore and it has one rule: the car is in Mysore the night before. Anything departing before 6am is positioned in advance, because a driver setting out from somewhere else at 4am to reach you is exactly how people miss flights.
Work backwards from check-in, not from the drive time. Bangalore’s outskirts are the unpredictable part of that journey, and the last 30 km take as long as the first 100 on a bad morning.
What visitors actually book here
Mysore’s other pattern is inbound tourism on a two-to-four-day loop, by people who have arrived without a car.
A comfortable first day is the palace, Chamundi Hills, Srirangapatna and Brindavan Gardens — all close together, all doable without rushing. From there the loop usually continues outward: Coorg for coffee country, Bandipur or Nagarhole for wildlife, or on to Wayanad across the Kerala border, which needs a permit we already hold.
The safari parks deserve a specific warning: gate timings are fixed, the drives are longer than they look, and missing a slot means missing the safari. Tell us the slot and we will set the departure around it.
Dasara
Dasara, in September and October, is the demand event of the Mysore year. The city fills, the procession closes roads, and a cross-town journey that normally takes twenty minutes does not. Book weeks ahead. Everything inside the city needs more time than usual, and no amount of local knowledge makes a closed road open.
Areas we cover from Mysore
The city, plus Srirangapatna, Nanjangud and Hunsur. We have premises in Mysore, on the T Narasipura road, so this is a city we operate from rather than send cars into.
Why an Ertiga in Mysore
Mysore mostly books us for inbound tourism loops and Bangalore airport runs. That is the trip an Ertiga is built for: six seats, a boot that takes a family's luggage with the third row folded, and a per-kilometre cost well below a larger MPV on the same road.
Where it is the wrong car, we say so — six full-size adults on a full-day run should book something bigger, and there is no seventh seat. The Ertiga page has the measured boot figures and the honest account of the third row.
All bookings include a professional driver. We do not offer self-drive rentals.

Mysore Ertiga rental FAQs
Mysore has no airport — how do I get to a flight?
You travel to Kempegowda International in Bangalore, about 193 km away, which is three to four hours depending on traffic around Bangalore's outskirts. It is a long intercity run rather than an airport transfer, and we price it as a one-way drop. For a morning flight it usually means leaving Mysore before dawn, and we will work the departure time back from your check-in.
How much notice do you need for a pre-dawn run to Bangalore airport?
As much as you can give, though we take these regularly. The car is positioned the night before for anything leaving before 6am, because a driver arriving from elsewhere at 4am is how flights get missed.
What happens to bookings during Dasara?
Dasara in September and October is the demand event of the Mysore year. The city fills, the procession route closes roads, and getting across town takes far longer than usual. Book weeks ahead, not days, and expect every journey inside the city to need extra time.
Can you do a two or three day loop from Mysore?
Yes, and it is what most visitors book. The palace, Chamundi Hills, Srirangapatna and Brindavan Gardens fill a comfortable day; from there people continue to Coorg, Bandipur, Nagarhole or Wayanad. We quote the loop as a round trip with the daily minimum applied per day.
Can you get us to a Bandipur or Nagarhole safari on time?
Yes, but the gate timings are fixed and not negotiable, and the drive is longer than the distance suggests. Tell us which safari slot you are aiming for and we will set the departure time around it rather than the other way round.
