Ertiga rental in Bangalore, and the two things that shape the fare
Bangalore is an airport city and a weekend-getaway city, and those two patterns account for most of what we drive here.
Kempegowda International sits about 34 km north of the centre. That single fact makes the Bangalore transfer completely unlike the other cities we serve — in Coimbatore the airport is a ten-minute errand, here it is a proper journey with a fare worth comparing. It is also why people book an Ertiga rather than a sedan for it: a family of five with checked luggage does not fit in a Dzire, and discovering that at 5am with a flight to catch is the worst possible moment.
The second thing is the interstate permit. Bangalore’s best weekend destinations are in other states. Ooty and the Nilgiris are Tamil Nadu. Wayanad and Munnar are Kerala. A Karnataka-registered vehicle needs a permit to cross, and that cost is real, confusing, and almost never explained upfront by the people quoting you a per-km rate. We charge it at actuals and tell you the amount before you travel — and because we hold permits across Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Puducherry, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, it is not a delay.
The weekend rhythm nobody else prices for
Coorg, Chikmagalur, Ooty and Wayanad bookings follow the same shape almost every time: out on Friday evening, back late on Sunday. That is a two-night, three-day round trip, and it should be priced as one — with the daily minimum applied across the days — rather than as two one-way drops, which is what you get if you book through a platform that only understands single journeys.
The other Bangalore pattern worth naming is the 4am start. Nandi Hills for sunrise is a genuine, regular booking, and it needs a driver who has done the climb in the dark before.
Traffic is the real variable here
Distance tells you very little about a Bangalore journey. The same 34 km to the airport is fifty minutes at 6am and can be double that on a weekday evening. Our drivers work in buffers rather than averages, and the buffer depends on which corridor you are starting from — the ORR, Whitefield, Electronic City and the north of the city each behave differently at the same hour.
Areas we cover from Bangalore
The whole city, plus Ramanagara, Hosur and Devanahalli. We have an office in Bangalore, on Magadi Road, so this is a city we serve from here rather than send cars into.
Why an Ertiga in Bangalore
Bangalore mostly books us for long-distance airport transfers and weekend getaways. That is the trip an Ertiga is built for: six seats, a boot that takes a family's luggage with the third row folded, and a per-kilometre cost well below a larger MPV on the same road.
Where it is the wrong car, we say so — six full-size adults on a full-day run should book something bigger, and there is no seventh seat. The Ertiga page has the measured boot figures and the honest account of the third row.
All bookings include a professional driver. We do not offer self-drive rentals.

Bangalore Ertiga rental FAQs
How far is Bangalore airport from the city, and how long should I allow?
Kempegowda International is about 34 km north of the centre — far enough that the transfer is a real journey rather than a hop, and far enough that traffic decides whether it takes 50 minutes or two hours. For an early flight we position the car the night before and leave with a wide buffer; your driver will tell you the departure time for your terminal and your part of the city.
Do I need an interstate permit to drive from Bangalore to Tamil Nadu or Kerala?
Yes, and it is charged at actuals on top of the fare. Karnataka-registered vehicles need a permit to enter Tamil Nadu or Kerala, which is why a Bangalore to Ooty or Bangalore to Wayanad trip costs more than the same distance inside Karnataka. We hold permits for Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Puducherry, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, so it is paperwork we already have rather than something to arrange.
Can you do a Friday-night departure and a Sunday-night return?
That is most of our weekend work. Coorg, Chikmagalur, Ooty and Wayanad bookings almost all leave Friday after work and come back late Sunday, and we price them as a round trip with the minimum-km rule applied per day rather than as two separate drops.
Will you do a 4am start for Nandi Hills?
Yes. Sunrise runs to Nandi Hills mean leaving the city around 4am, and it is a booking we take regularly. Tell us where you are staying and we will work backwards from the sunrise time.
Is an Ertiga enough for a weekend trip with six people?
For two to four hours to Mysore or Coorg, yes — six people travel comfortably enough on that stretch. For six adults with a weekend's worth of luggage each, the boot becomes the constraint before the seats do, and we would rather move you to a larger SARA CAB vehicle than have you repack on the pavement.
