Corporate travel in Chennai and Bangalore is largely airport work. In Coimbatore it is factory visits, and that is a genuinely different job.

The pattern: a buyer, agent or merchandiser visits several units in a day, across Coimbatore and out to Tiruppur. Each visit overruns — sample approvals take longer than planned, floor walks expand, someone wants to show you one more thing. The car spends more time standing than driving.

The common shape for an international buyer:

Land at Coimbatore, straight to the hotel. Two or three days moving between units in Coimbatore and Tiruppur. Occasionally a day out to a dyeing or processing unit further afield. Fly out.

The airport is not a problem here

Coimbatore International is about 10 km from the city. An arrival occupies a car for twenty minutes, not for half a day.

Anyone used to Bangalore corporate travel will find that changes the fleet arithmetic entirely: the same vehicle can do an airport pickup and a full factory day without any planning gymnastics.

GST invoices with trips itemised, monthly or per trip. Toll and parking at actuals with receipts rather than lumped, which is what most accounts queries turn out to be about.

The car

Three or four people with sample bags rather than suitcases, in and out at multiple units through the day. Six seats mean the whole buying team travels together, the cabin is quiet enough for calls between stops, and over a repeated weekly run the running cost against a larger MPV is materially lower.
